I will start taking $200 deposits when the puppies are 2 weeks old, the deposit is non-refundable. Balance must be paid in cash when puppy is picked up. Puppies are sold with Limited Registration only, meaning your puppy will be registered but no litters produced by them are able to be registered, pet only. I also do not remove dew claws, I believe it is an appendage and is there for a purpose.

I do have a new contract that will need to be signed by both parties, the contract states that the puppy will not be given to anyone without my consent and also my guarantee that the puppy is in good health.

Health Guarantee

SSL in this contract refers to Sassy Silver Labs and Buyer refers to the purchasing party.

Your new puppy is guaranteed to the original purchaser to be free from all genetic and non-genetic severe life threatening diseases. Puppy must be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of possession. If the puppy is determined by a licensed veterinarian to have a serious illness or life threatening genetic defect, the buyer has 2 business days to notify SSL  of the veterinarians findings. A written copy of the tests and procedures performed and the diagnosis must be sent to SSL  within 10 days of the diagnosis from the veterinarian. SSL reserves the right to have the puppy or the diagnosis with tests and procedures from your veterinarian examined by our licensed veterinarian at the expense of SSL , should there be a discrepancy in the findings SSL  veterinarians findings shall control. SSL will not pay for any veterinary costs incurred by the buyer. If the puppy is determined to be not in good health with a life threatening defect, the buyer may return the puppy within a 10 day time period at the buyers expense and SSL will replace the puppy with a puppy of the same sex as soon as one becomes available. SSL  will not guarantee against Parvo, Distemper or Corona virus, Umbilical Hernia, external or internal parasites or bacteria, Coccidiosis, Giardia, undescended testicles, inverted vulva, under-bite or overbite. The preceding list of illnesses and defects are not an exhaustive list. SSL  cannot guarantee to the puppy's personality or disposition. We take great pride in making sure your puppy has been well socialized and introduced to many sights and sounds before leaving us.

SSL  guarantees your puppy be free of hereditary severe hip dysplasia for 24 months. If the puppy is diagnosed with hereditary hip dysplasia within the 24 months, SSL  will give the buyer $500 to go towards medical expenses. SSL  will not be responsible for any additional costs. The puppy must not be overweight. The puppy must not have suffered an injury prior to exam. The puppy must be given exercise, yet, not excessively. Buyer agrees not to start agility or competitive field training or any activity which may damage the puppy's bone or muscle structure until he/she reaches a minimum of 18 months of age. ( Puppy needs to reach a physical maturity level which will allow such activities not to damage the animal). The puppy must not have sired/whelped a litter. Puppy must be diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian along with a second opinion from another licensed veterinarian. SSL  must be provided with a copy of x-rays and findings from both licensed veterinarians. SSL  reserves the right to take x-rays and findings from both veterinarians to our veterinarian and should there be a discrepancy between the buyers veterinarians and SSL  veterinarians findings SSL  veterinary findings shall control.

I'm aware my hip dysplasia guarantee is a little different than others. Reason being is I have been through it with Genji and in my opinion the $500 would have helped us more than receiving a new puppy, I was very attached to him and definitely didn't want a new puppy in his place but the $500 would have helped us in getting treatment for him. I don't ask for OFA because it's more expensive than a second opinion for you, and if our two vets and my vet agree then I believe that's a pretty true diagnosis.

If for any reason you decide you cannot keep your puppy please contact SSL  first, we will take the puppy or help you find it a new loving home. And if you ever have any questions please feel free to call me anytime.
